	John Beekmann
	John Beekmann , CPA, is a tax manager for FredrickZink & Associates. John has extensive tax research and preparation experience as well as background in human resource management and outsourcing. Although John was born in Michigan , he moved to Colorado when he was seven and grew up amidst the natural wonders of our state. He received a BA in Economics with a finance concentration from Colorado State University in Fort Collins , Colorado and attended the University of Colorado , as well as completing the Graduate Tax Program at the University of Denver . John became a CPA in 1992. John moved to Durango in the spring of 2000 from Denver , where he was a tax manager with a national public accounting firm. There he was responsible for the delivery of worldwide expatriate tax and international HR consulting and outsourcing services for six public clients. Prior to that, John was a senior tax associate with a national firm in Denver and a senior staff accountant with a national firm in Vancouver , British Columbia . His role at both of these firms centered on individual and corporate tax compliance and consulting. John is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Locally, he is the Treasurer and a Board Member of the Durango High Noon Rotary Club. John lives in Durango with his family and is an avid trout fisherman.
