Melanie G. McLean, CPA, is a senior tax accountant at FredrickZink & Associates.  With the firm for over twelve years, she handles tax return preparation and consultation, as well as assisting in the firm’s audit practice.

Melanie graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Cum Laude, with a BA in Theatre and English in 1981.  Turning her attention to business, Melanie went on to add a BA in Accounting from Fort Lewis College in 1988.

At FredrickZink & Associates, Melanie works with businesses from the construction trades to nonprofit ventures, with a variety of corporations, partnerships and LLCs in between.  She also works closely with individuals to furnish them with a tax return and the peace of mind to go with it.

Melanie was a nineteen-year co-owner, Vice-President, and accountant of a successful Durango-based business.  The business was sold in 2003, but her tenure and experience in this venture lends considerable insight and perspective to her clients’ needs.

Melanie is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.  She is a thespian and member of The Durango Choral Society, and her other interests include running, hiking, drama, and music.  Melanie and her husband reside in Durango.
